Oxon Hill Manor

Yesterday I had an 11:00 am meeting with Kitchen Gourmet, for an engagement party I am planning toward the end of April at Oxon Hill Manor. Never knowing how traffic is going to be, I left about 2 hours early. Traffic, for whatever reason, was great that day! I ended up stopping by National Harbor to grab a cup of coffee and window shop.

One of the best things about Oxon Hill Manor is its location. It is no more than 5 minutes from National Harbor! There are multiple hotels to fit all budgets and any type of restaurant you can think of! There are also some really cute little boutiques you can shop in as well.

I did Jenni and Ryan's wedding at Oxon Hill last year, and I must say, it was one of the best weddings I've been to. There wasn't a single person there that didn't have an absolute BLAST! I was also introduced to the Black Tie Band, my favorite DC area band. It literally sounded like Usher, Lady Gaga, and Justin Timberlake were performing at their wedding. It was unbelievable!

Oxon Hill Manor is a historic mansion, built in the 1920s for Sumner Welles, who became a Assistant Secretary of State under Franklin D. Roosevelt.  There is a formal garden next to the mansion, and the site has a spectacular view of the Potomac river and Alexandria, Virginia.

Any who....Oxon Hill Manor is amazing. End of story :)
